Description

  • The CLCE-1032 is a split-core RF current probe designed for EMI compliance testing and current monitoring during immunity tests.

  • Its hinged, circular enclosure allows quick insertion of cables without disrupting the test setup.

  • Works with spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, or other 50Ω measurement devices to detect and measure RF current via inductive coupling.

  • Transfer impedance or admittance conversions help convert voltage to current readings (e.g., [dBuV] - [dBΩ] = [dBuA]).

Application

  • Ideal for non-intrusive measurement of RF currents on cables or wire bundles without removing insulation.

  • Functions like a toroidal transformer—the cable acts as a single-turn primary, and the probe as the multi-turn secondary.

  • Commonly used for conducted emissions measurements in compliance and pre-compliance setups.

Calibration

  • Calibration is performed using a 50Ω coaxial calibration fixture for accurate measurement of insertion loss, transfer impedance, and VSWR.

  • FCLCE-1032 calibration fixture (optional) ensures standardized calibration.

  • Each unit comes with calibration data and a certificate; ISO 17025 calibration is available on request.
